African American Scholarships

African American Student

Scholarships for African Americans are available from several sources. With universities looking to further diversify their student bodies with more minority groups, there are several scholarships that target African American students.

Scholarships are awarded on several factors. In some instances, they may require you to be a first generation African American student while others will require lineage further up your family tree.

With recent reports showing the numbers of African American entrepreneurs on the rise, you can expect further scholarship opportunities to arise. While several of the scholarship resources are from familiar African American centric sources like the NAACP, you will find opportunities from several other sources as well. Apply early and often from the list of scholarships below for the best chance of scoring your next scholarship.
